and his co-curator
James Flournoy was born on December 17th, 2009, and was enamoured by the music of Looney Tunes at a very young age. He had one of those Warner Bros. DVD Collections, and within that collection a documentary about Raymond Scott was in it. James didn't know who he was just yet.
When beginning middle school, he began to listen to more jazzworks, as his mother had played Caravan Palace a lot during his younger years. A certain tune began playing in his headphones, a familiar, rhythmic tune. It was the tune of Powerhouse. He thought it was just a rearrangement, but no, this was the original Quintette (raymonds spelling) recording. He then went full deep dive into Raymond Scott's discography, and discovered his electronic works. He was, understandably, mind blown. So he went into full music making, first with OpenMPT, and now with FL Studio, and wants capture that signature Raymond Sound.
You can read the rest in about scottworks.
He met his partner, 11PMWillow, towards the end of middle school on discord.
They are inseparable and play games together way too much.
James wants to teach Willow how to play piano, so they may make music together.
